in support of the Robb Nash Impact Tour, and helped to raise $20,000, to help him travel the country and share his youth empowerment message.
They came up with the Y2 program and will act as Y2 Ambassadors, who will help to recruit other young equestrians as Ambassadors and assist with spreading the message through fund raising efforts, as well as donating portions of their own prize money winnings’ at select equestrian tournaments."
“It’s great to be able to launch this program with John and RMSJ who have been so dedicated to the young up and coming riders of our sport. Bretton competed in her first major Grand Prix here just a few years ago, and I’m very proud of Bretton and Kara to see that they want to share such a powerful message with other youth outside of their sport,” said Laurel, when talking about her daughters’ involvement with the Impact Tour.
Robb Nash, a Winnipeg born Rocker with two top ten radio hits in Canada with his band “Live on Arrival” uses his musical gift to tour schools across Canada working closely with youth to help them discover their gifts and purpose to guide them on their path.
“I love to see people who have found what they love to do and actually go out and do it with purpose. Our passion is music, and we use it to empower youth” said Robb, when speaking about his purpose.
“We are not trying to change the world, but are trying to create “world changers.” Bretton and Kara Chad are a perfect example of those who have found their purpose but who are also able and willing to share with others. We worked with them, and now they have continued with projects that will not only impact themselves, but others as well.”
When asked about this partnership, Robb replied, “We see the support from Stone Ridge and Rocky Mountain Show Jumping as a great opportunity to take our focus on Canada’s youth to an even larger audience of a generation searching for their purpose!”

The Robb Nash Impact tour is a powerful force for change – encouraging youth to discover their unique strengths and to make positive choices for today and tomorrow. Robb Nash performs at schools in a concert assembly, sharing his music and message. The school then has the opportunity to participate in Calgary based non-profit Impact Society’s HEROES™ program. This is a 12-week strength based experiential learning program where teens build on their strengths to become more resilient individuals. The combined power of the opening concert and the learning experiences that reinforce the key messages of confidence, character and integrity speaks to teens on multiple levels.
Rocky Mountain Show Jumping is an equestrian facility that is located just 4km south of internationally acclaimed Spruce Meadows. They host more than 20 tournaments each year with competitions geared to all levels of the sport from the grass roots all the way up to and including the FEI sanctioned CSI** events.
When asked about the growth of the Rocky Mountain Show Jumping venue, John replied, “The tremendous growth that we have seen in our venue over the past number of years is largely because we focus on the younger athletes in the sport. Our neighbors up the road have done an unbelievable job in creating truly the world’s best show jumping venue. Because of their success, the best in the world always come to compete. We are successfully providing opportunities for those athletes’ who are knocking at the door to the big leagues a chance to fine tune their skills to help them make that next step in the sport.”
“We have been able to continue with our goals because of the tremendous support we have received over the years from the Calgary and area corporate community who stand behind our vision of developing the younger athletes. Of course we are extremely excited to partner up with Impact Society and Robb Nash for this program, as it falls right into our niche of providing opportunities for the younger generation.”
The Robb Nash Impact Tour will be in Calgary on Friday October 14th on site at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping for a media event scheduled for 12:30 pm. Along with the Chad family, John Anderson, and representatives from Impact Society, Robb will answer questions from the media and perform a few pieces with his band that help to tell this story.
