Winter Training Series III (Jumper Version) complete: (Champions crowned)

It was Spring Fever at RMSJ, and just a few minutes ago, the third Winter Training Series in 2009 for the jumpers concluded, and the champions for the three series tournaments were awarded their special awards. 120 participants joined us for the beautiful spring weekend at RMSJ, and we would as always like to thank our exhibitors for their support.

Sunday was a test however, when mother nature decided to give us a foot of snow overnight....."Springtime in Alberta." For those competitors who couldn't join us because of the weather, remember, your entries will be credited to another one of our many events throughout the year.

We would also like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who purchased some ASJA CWD saddle raffle tickets in support of further member/rider development programs hosted by our provincial association. The CWD saddle raffle has raised close to $7,000.00 so far, and ticket sales will stop at $10,000 and then the lucky winner will be drawn. We at RMSJ know that the ASJA appreciates all of the support of its members.

www.equestrianjumpingcanada.com is your one-stop source for current show jumping statistics, results and data, from a Canadian perspective.

Other major sports such as tennis, golf, cycling, motor sports, figure skating and the big pro sports - to name just a few - have long had internet sources of detailed statistical data. Now show jumping does too! There is no other source where you will find all this up-to-date show jumping information in one place!

For riders and horse owners: Follow your own season statistics and compare to others.

For fans: Follow your favourite rider's or horse's season and career stats.

For media: Now you have an on-line media guide to find the information you need fast -- information that was never before available in one place.

Here are just a few of the features of the site:

A current-season performance record for all Canadian grand prix riders

- Career highlights for Canadian grand prix riders
- Historical results of every major international championship
- Facts and figures about Canadian and international show jumping
- Canadian rider rankings, world rider rankings and qualifying standings
- News and analysis as statistics change. Leave your comments on the blog!

Come back often! New pages are being added regularly. Existing ones are constantly evolving!

The information provided on this site is compiled and maintained by Jayne Huddleston. As a journalist, researcher and publicist, Jayne has covered more international show jumping events than any other Canadian journalist. Over the last 25 years, she has been a photo-journalist, a member of a major network television crew and a publicist to some of Canada's most successful Olympic riders.

She maintains one of the largest databases of show jumping information in the world. She is often consulted by international sport organizations and international media. Her database, including the kind of statistics contained in the season performance records on this site, once led to her being retained as an expert witness in a civil lawsuit involving show jumpers. She currently operates JH Media, specializing in media relations training.

Willow Grove 2009 Season Opener:

The Willow Grove 2009 Season Opener tournaments consist of one weekend of jumper competition April 10-12 and one weekend of hunter competition April 24-26. This year we are fortunate to have been made available to us the Anderson Ranch venue for our first tournaments of the year. This will be our 23rd year of hosting competitions in Alberta.  Our goal is to provide fun, friendly, exciting weekends of competition with plenty of special awards and give-a-ways made available by our wonderful sponsors.

Thank you to the Rocky Mountain Showjumping team for being so accommodating and helpful with this venture.

Good luck to all competitors!
