Upcoming Bow Valley Classic Information: We recently posted the prize list for the upcoming Bow Valley Classic. Since most of our competitors do access our information online, we only mailed out a few prize lists to some out of towners and sr exhibitors from out of province. Should you wish to have a hard copy, simply send us an email, and we would be glad to put one in the mail. You will also find some hard copies at your nearest Calgary tack shop. We would like to remind all competitors that BOTH WEEKS OF THE BOW VALLEY CLASSIC will feature a full range of divisions, INCLUDING hunters. The Bow Valley Classic is pleased to offer over $185,000.00 in prize money. To view the online prize list click here. There will be numerous more information items pertaining to the upcoming Bow Valley Classics, and we will keep you informed as they become available.
1.10m & 1.20m Junior/Amateur Championships:We are very pleased at this time to announce an exciting new championship series dedicated to the junior and amateur riders of our sport. We would also like to recognize the contributions of the two Alberta Equestrian Families, along with a great saddle maker that have given so generously to this series. The Prather's, owners of Bradon have agreed to sponsor $10,000.00 to the 1.10m championship series, and the Smith's, owners of Blue Valley Farms have agreed to sponsor $20,000.00 to the 1.20m championship series. At each tournament, Bow Valley Classic I and II, Rocky Mountain Classic I and II in the 1.10m division, there will be a $2,500.00 Bradon Classic. The Horse/Rider combination with the highest # of points will be crowned the champion of this series, and along with a beautiful cooler, will be presented with a custom made CWD bridle. At each tournament, Bow Valley Classic I and II, Rocky Mountain Classic I and II in the 1.20m division, there will be a $5,000.00 Blue Valley Farms Classic. The Horse/Rider combination with the highest # of points will be crowned the champion of this series, and along with a beautiful cooler, will be presented with a custom made CWD saddle. More details of these two exciting championship series will be available shortly! Due to the popularity of the tour to date, we thought we would give out a little bonus. For the first 2008 outdoor event of the tour, we have decided to offer double the points towards the overall program. Since we are moving outdoors, we know the degree of difficulty increases, and feel that your efforts should be rewarded. The double points tournament is the Bow Valley Classic I. Also, we recently sent out a letter to everyone who competed in the 2008 Winter Training Series. An invitation was extended to everyone to join us at a VIP Luncheon dedicated to all competitors who competed in the WTS. If you competed in the WTS, come join us in the VIP tent on Saturday May 17th for the $15,000 Cymric Brae Grand Prix. We would be pleased to buy you lunch to thank you for all of your support.
