ShowJumperClinic.com:

ShowJumperClinic.com is an educational website offering complete unedited, "reality" training videos of international showjumping riders riding and lecturing on their most talented horses in training, as well as assisting their most dedicated students on their horses.

ShowJumperClinic.com offers you the chance to see how young horses are worked and developed through the training levels by a variety of show jumping trainers, riders or teachers. Watch how showjumpers are brought from early training level stages, through the 1.20 meters stages, 1.35 meters, 1.40 meters and onwards to the 1.50 meter and 1.60 meter Grand Prix classes. Watch how leg yields, shoulder-ins and gymnastic excersises are used and slowly developed from a day to day routine training schedule. Watch some trainers slowly develop riders and their horses towards the International Grand Prix arena. Watch how some trainers teach horses the water jump and triple combinations.

It is a life long commitment of every rider to further and deepen his education and understanding of his horse and the sport he practices, and what better opportunity can there be than being able to watch and learn from how other successful international riders from around the world do it, from the comfort of your own home.

RMSJ Winter Training Series Jumper I:

The 2008 RMSJ season is set to get underway this weekend with the first of three Jumper weekends as a part of the 2008 Winter Training Series. The time schedule for this weekend has been posted to our website.

As many of you already know, the format of the Winter Training Series is changing in 2008. With the growth of the tournaments over the past few years, and the introduction of the ASJA Three and Five Star Series, we have decided to host "Just Hunter", and "Just Jumper" weekends for our exhibitors. We feel that by hosting the Winter Training Series in this manner, we will be able to service the needs of all of our competitors in a better fashion.

ASJA 2008 Membership:

We thought we would send a note to remind all Alberta competitors to renew their ASJA membership for 2008. As most of you know, the ASJA introduced the Five & Three Star Series in 2007. The series does require a declaration by ASJA members, and there is a box to check on the 2008 membership form. There is also a spot on the membership form for riders to declare for the Alberta Select Riders Program. Please take a few minutes to fill out your 2008 ASJA membership, and send it into the address located on the form.

Remember, all RMSJ tournaments are a part of the ASJA Star Series.

Golf and Ride:

Attention all Sponsors, Moms, Dads, Owners!

Rocky Mountain Show Jumping is pleased to announce the third annual Golf and Ride to be held on Saturday May 24th during the Bow Valley Classic. A shotgun start golf tournament will be held at neighboring Sirocco Golf Club. Following the tournament, golfers will then venture next-door to Anderson Ranch to join a luncheon that will be just getting underway. Golfers will be partnered with a horse/rider combination, and that rider's score in the Grand Prix will contribute to golfer's score to determine an ultimate team winner.

More details to come!

Check out the picturesque Sirocco Golf Club!

Dominique Shone at the FEI Children's Final:

Last August at the Rocky Mountain Classic, we were pleased to host one of two qualifiers in Canada that would allow young riders the opportunity to travel to Jalapa, Mexico to compete in the Finals. Congratulations to Dominique Shone, who was the sole representative qualifying from Canada to compete at the finals.

Andre Francoeur: (1961 - 2008)

As most of you know, Andre lost his battle with cancer earlier this month. We would like to ask that if you knew Andre, please take the time to post a note in the guestbook that is located on his page in the Calgary Herald online Obituaries. His family will be able to have professionally made copies of the book for a valuable keepsake.

Thank you for taking a moment to post a note! Click Here!
