Bow Valley Classic II Complete: Rocky Mountain Show Jumping is pleased to announce the conclusion of their second outdoor show of the season. The second week of the Bow Valley Classic was a Jumper only tournament, with 280 entries competing in jumper levels ranging from the .90m up to the 1.40m Open Jumper. Mother Nature forced cancellation of Thursday's competition when she decided to blanket the grounds with a layer of snow. Fortunately, she relaxed her mood, and blessed all of the competitors and sponsors on Saturday with beatiful sunshine and twenty degree weather for the feature event. The highlight of the event was the $50,000 Oilpatch Grand Prix which saw the unveiling of the Calgary Flames Jump, a narrow jump featuring the Flames logo in the center, along with jump standards decorated with some action shots of Flames notables including gaolie Mikka Kiprusoff. Congratulations to Susan Foster of Calgary who took home top prize in the Grand Prix, with Becky Johanson-Hoffman finishing second with Corona, and Larissa Ziebart coming in third with her mount Denver. John & Tani Anderson would like to thank everyone who joined them for their final outdoor Spring tournament for the year. Please feel free to drop them an email with any suggestions or comments that will help them make their tournaments better for you the exhibitor.
