In keeping with our goals of helping to improve the level of the sport in Alberta, we launched the Rocky Mountain Show Jumping Developing Riders Tour in 2007. Willow Grove Stables joined with us on the tour in 2011, and in 2012, the Developing Riders Tour celebrates its 5th Anniversary, and to help celebrate the anniversary, when the medals are presented to the riders at the SAnta Claus Classic, Rocky Mountain Show Jumping will also present a check to Just World International to help their ongoing projects in developing countries.
Both RMSJ & Willowgrove host numerous tournaments throughout the year tailored to the upper levels of the sport, but want you to know that we are committed to providing younger riders competitions that help develop their careers as well.
The Developing Riders Tour is tailored to more novice riders in our sport. By including divisions tailored to younger riders in all of our tournaments, we hope that they will have the chance to rub shoulders with some of the more advanced riders in our sport. We believe that by offering younger competitors the chance to compete at events that are also attended by more experienced riders, that some of their knowledge will help them in developing their skills further.
Exhibitors in the sport of Show Jumping these days have a wide variety of events in which they can choose to attend, and we hope that by offering innovative things like the Developing Riders Tour, that you will consider attending a Rocky Mountain Show Jumping or Willow Grove Stables event.
